Perfect is the enemy of the good

Dang it - I wanted this blog to look like my website (www.redbarninstitute.org).  But I couldn't use the logo because I couldn't get it to crop right:

Why does it work here and not on the header?  I have no idea what I'm doing. Good thing I am not letting "knowing what I'm doing" getting in the way of doing it.  But, hey, this blog is live!  (Isn't it?)

I also wanted to have my apartment packed in an orderly systematic way.  This is what my apartment looks like right now:

But hey - at least I've started packing already.

If I waited to do it "right", I doubt I would have started - on this trip, let alone packing.  My goal is to start my journey by April 1 - because how else to start the Fool's Journey but on April Fool's Day?  I'm pretty sure I will make April 1.  But it will  not be orderly and systematic.  Good enough.

  3. I *love* it... thanks for making this blog. It might help me miss you less, if that is possible.

  4. The imperfections make it perfect. Thanks for modeling imperfection done well. My inner perfectionist has just relaxed a bit.

  5. You go Julie! I am very jealous (because it is such a cool thing to do) but I know we will be able to come away with a lot of vicarious new learning and adventures....
